Your customers can now purchase online promotional credits for your business. An online promotional credit is stored digitally on your customer’s registered VISA/MC/AMEX card. These credits are rebated by Plink directly to your customer after they make a purchase in your business.
There are two offer types available with online promotional credits: purchase discount and free brand gift. A purchase discount allows you to offer customers a discounted (dollar or precent off) a credit, for example: "Get a $100 credit for $80."
A free brand gift allows customers to receive an e-gift card instantly upon the completion of a digital credit purchase, for example: "Get a free $25 Fandango e-gift card when you buy a $100 credit".
The process works as follows:
- A customer sees your offer and makes an online credit purchase through your custom checkout flow, powered by Plink.
- The promotional credit amount is added to your customer's registered card.
- The customer makes an in-person person from your business using their registered card.
- Plink rebates the customer the full amount of the online promotional credit they previously purchased.
- Your business keeps the full amount of the in-store purchase as you normally would.
This offer includes a downloadable kit, an educational landing page, a registration, and a purchase experience - all customized to your business. This offer may also be promoted by Plink through social media and email.

WHAT IS AN ONLINE PROMOTIONAL CREDIT?
Your business can offer promotional credits for sale online. The credit can then be redeemed by the customer after they complete a transaction in-person from your business using the same card they used to purchase the digital credit.
ARE THERE ANY RULES OR LIMITATIONS TO THIS OFFER?
There is a limit of one purchase per customer. The promotional credit must be redeemed within 60 days following the completion of the online purchase.
WHAT DOES MY STAFF NEED TO DO FOR THE PROGRAM?
Nothing is required of your staff; however, we encourage you to promote the offer and let customers know to sign-up. Plink takes care of the rest. All fulfillment is handled by Plink and included in your membership.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE OFFER?
Customers who sign-up and register through your unique offer URL and landing page are eligible. They must be registered prior to purchasing from you in person in order to be eligible to receive the offer. Employees and owners of your business are not eligible.
HOW IS THE OFFER PROMOTED TO CUSTOMERS?
Be sure to use the email, social media, and in-store assets provided in your kit to promote the program. Many offers are also promoted on your behalf by Plink through social media and email.
IS IT SECURE?
Yes, the customer’s card number is submitted directly to our PCI compliant, 3rd party platform. Neither Plink nor your business has access to the card number.
IS THERE ANY CHANGE TO MY POINT OF SALE, A REQUIRED APP, TABLET, OR VOUCHER?
No change or download of any kind is necessary. It’s just business as usual for you.
HOW DOES REDEMPTION OF THE PROMOTIONAL CREDIT WORK?
A customer must complete an in-person purchase of equal or greater value than the promotional credit amount in order for that credit to qualify for redemption. Redemption must happen within 60 days of completing the online transaction. Fulfillment works as follows:
If your point-of-sale is linked to Plink: Once a customer has registered, all transactions they make in the future are recognized automatically by Plink. So, when a customer completes their in store purchase, the promotional credit is automatically recognized. Plink will then rebate the credit amount to the customer via a PayPal transfer within 3 business days.
If your point-of-sale is not linked to Plink: After a promotional credit has been purchased, when a customer completes their in-person transaction, they must email a copy of their receipt, full name, and email address to email@example.com. When the receipt is received, Plink will then rebate the credit amount to the customer via a PayPal transfer within 3 business days.
